My Favorite Stars at the Oscars

Last Sunday at the Oscars we saw a lot of red lipsticks, a lot of rosy cheeks and a lot of soft romantic hairdos. The Red Carpet evoked the Glamour from the 1930s with a dear Vintage look, that I'm sure; many of us love.
Everybody looked fabulous, but there was three looks that I really loved at the Oscars. 
And those looks were:


Number One: Angelina Jolie
Doesn't she look gorgeous wearing red lipstick? I was thinking of getting this Estée Lauder MadMen Limited edition lipstick in cherry to imitate her look. Angelina looked fierce, daring and chic!!




Number Two: Natalie Portman

She looks beautiful with those dazzled eyes. Natalie Portman looked very elegant, impecable and sophisticated. I really loved her dress. To get those full, long lashes, also try Estée Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara. 

Number Three: Milla Jovovich

Milla looks angelical with rosy cheeks and that white dress. And her 1930s inspired hairdo completes the look wonderfully. Estée Lauder Cream Rouge Limited Edition from the MadMen collection, will help us to achieve those endearing cheeks.

I hope that you had enjoyed the Oscars and that you share my opinion on these looks. The Oscars, in my opinion; is the event that set the fashion trend for the year and I am so happy for the chic glamour that this event brought to us.

Lead in my Lipstick?!

My mother called me the other night and in an alarm voice told me that she has just heard on the news that a lot of lipsticks have above average amounts of lead. I got concern because I am a lipstick lover and the idea of getting rid of a lot of my lipstick was not appealing to me (actually, I didn't even consider it)

I did some research on the topic and while I was catching up with my Google reader I found a very good post by Beauty Bets about the alarming news. I was sad to know that some of my favorite drugstore brands made the list, but I was also happy to know that one brand didn't. Moreover, I was happy to know that  not many high end lipsticks were not on this list, which means that I will make the effort to invest in high end lipsticks.
Like this Chanel Rouge Double Intensité ultra wear lip color in Rosestone, which I am loving right now and it worth the investment. It really last all day!

What do you think about  your favorite lipstick containing lead? Would you consider to toss away your lipstick? Would you invest in an expensive lipsticks?

My First MyGlam Bag

Hello Lovelies,
I am so excited about my first MyGlam Bag. I am a fan of Michelle Phan  and of her videos in YouTube, so when I found out that  she launched her MyGlam website, I was excited with the idea of discovering and trying out new beauty products recommended by her for just $10.00 a month.
The February MyGlam bag was inspired by Valentine's Day and all the products came in an adorable pink makeup bag with black hearts to give it a feeling for the month of LOVE.
This is what I found on MyGlam bag:

X Out Shine Control: This is an oil free moisturizer from Proactiv that helps to keep oily skin under control and it also works as a primer. I have oil/dry combination skin and I was a little nervous that this moisturizer will over dry my skin. I was pleased that it didn't and actually helped to make my foundation last longer.

NYX Roll On Shimmer:  This is a full size rich shimmering powder from NYX. I tried in on my eyelids as an eyeshadow and I liked it. It could be the best ally for a quick-wake-me-up look. I don't see myself using it as shimmering powder over my body, but for those of you who like shimmer, this could be fun.

Primer Dead Sea Cinderella Mask (Samples): I haven't try these out yet, but it sounds interesting. I also received a discount code to buy full sizes of these primers.

NuMe Professional Styling Tools Gift Card: I also got this $100.00 gift certificate from NuMe. This could not been more appropriate because I need to buy a new hair dryer. I will definitely use this certificate.

Freeman Facial Mask: I  also got this hydrating mask in Goji Berry and it is wonderful. It made my skin to look glowing and of course, it added some moisture to my skin.

I really like my February Glam bag and i cannot wait to use my gift certificate from NuMe and I will be waiting to receive my March Glam bag.
